At power plants, we are constantly thinking of new ways to make it easy & delicious for you to power beyond your five a day.

The core of our offer is making it easy for your to buy loose fresh fruit & vegetables - buy an individual item to eat on-the-go, take a brown paper bag full of goodness for your desk/colleagues at work, fill your fruit bowl or buy your essentials for dinner. Where & when possible, we buy as local (e.g. British apples & pears / Yorkshire cress & micro-herbs) and as ethically as we can.

We also keep our eyes open for exciting fruits & vegetables that you can't easily find in a supermarket. These may be from local growers or imported by specialist wholesalers. We set out to inspire you to use this fresh produce.

One of our core innovations beyond traditional greengrocery is the healthy power plants pick & mix ... we know kids & grown-up kids alike enjoy the cornucopia of choice offered by a variety of sweet treats. We spotted the opportunity to take this personalised indulgence and make it healthier by offering a variety of dried fruit treats, micro-nutrient-laden nuts and protein-packed seeds. Again: you can eat these on-the-go from a paper cup, or take them home in a brown paper bag to use in home-baking.

As a society, convenience remains a priority. Fresh fruit is highly convenient but power plants wants to offer more options for you in your busy lifestyle ... so we sell power bars, microwaveable grains, olives and soft drinks (e.g. Fairtrade orange juice, Harrogate Spring Water in its' 50% recycled and 100% recyclable bottles ... paired with a sachet of matcha tea if you need that caffeine hit).

A final - vital - way in which we go above and beyond a traditional greengrocer is in adding value to the produce we sell. On our very first stalls we offered plant-based Bircher Muesli with a dried fruit & seed topping (in recyclable pots), plant-protein-packed Porridge (in recyclable & microwaveable card pots), Power Balls, wheat & sugar-free "That's All" Cookies, Candied Citrus Peel (great for decorating baking / cocktails / just on the side with an espresso) and Smoothie Bowls with a dried fruit & seed topping ... when we have left over bananas, we bake Vegan Banana Bread. If you would like to have a go at any of these for yourself, please check out our recipes page

Last, but not least, we are always happy to talk about larger quantities: delivering boxes of fruit & vegetables to your home and wholesale supply into offices & foodservice businesses ... please contact us for more details.
